Make sure every player is covered before they step on court. Attach a waiver to
bookings, memberships, or events, and BookThisCourt collects the signature
automatically as part of sign-up.

## Where waivers apply

- **Court bookings**: every player signs before their first session,
  automatically.
- **Membership waivers**: attach a waiver to any [membership tier](/guides/growth/memberships)
  at sign-up.
- **Event waivers**: add one to a tournament or class only when it's needed.

## Create a waiver

1. In the sidebar under **Management**, open **Waivers**.
2. Click **Create Waiver**.
3. Write the waiver text and set where it applies - booking, membership, or
   event.
4. Set its status to **Active** when it's ready to start collecting signatures.

  A waiver only needs to be signed once for its scope - returning customers
  aren't asked again unless the waiver changes.
