Private Club Court Booking and Membership Software
Members-only hours for any court

Members pay dues, and dues are supposed to buy court time. Yet at many clubs the front desk still takes court requests by phone, the pro shop keeps a paper sheet, and members have no easy way to see which hours they can actually book.
Want to jump straight to the setup? The step-by-step guide walks through it.

BookThisCourt is court booking and membership software for private clubs of every kind: tennis, pickleball, padel, and racquet clubs, squash and badminton clubs, basketball and volleyball gyms, soccer and football clubs with their own fields, and the courts at a country club. Members book online from their phone and see only the times their membership includes. The club keeps collecting dues exactly the way it does today.
Membership decides who books, not payment
At a public facility, whoever pays gets the court. At a private club, membership comes first. BookThisCourt is built that way: you set up a membership plan for each type of member, add the perks that come with it, and that plan is what opens court times to them.
- Members-only hours: keep any hours for members, and give different types of members different hours if you want.
- A plan for each type of member: full, junior, social, seasonal, whatever your club calls them, each with its own free court hours.
- Member pricing: a cheaper price for members than for the public, or court time already covered by their dues.
- First pick of court times: let members book further ahead than everyone else.
- Dues stay with the club: give your current members their plans and keep collecting dues in your own office, or take payments online when you're ready.
A plan for each type of member
Most clubs already have their member types worked out. Set up each one as a
membership plan: Full Member with eight hours a month and every time slot
open to them, Junior with after-school hours, Social with off-peak hours
only. You can hide a plan from the public booking page when membership is by
invitation or waitlist, so nobody joins without the club saying yes.
Members-only hours, public hours, or both
On the Hours page, every time slot has a Members Only column. Tick the plans that should get those hours and only those members can book them. A club that is fully private ticks its plans on every slot. A club that opens weekday daytime courts to the public leaves those slots unticked, and both kinds of hours sit side by side on the same court.
This is also how you hold a regular weekly slot for one group, say a junior clinic or a ladies' morning, without taking the court away from everyone else.
Member prices and first pick of court times
Members-only hours are one perk. A plan can also come with a member price the public never sees, a set of free court hours that comes back every month, faster reward points, discounts on events and clinics, and the ability to book days before everyone else. The Memberships guide lists every perk.
Keep collecting dues your way
Most private clubs collect dues once a year through their own office and have no reason to change that. You don't have to. Give each member their plan, leave online payments off, and no money ever moves through BookThisCourt.
If you would rather collect dues and sign up new members online, you can turn payments on for a plan and members pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Any court type: tennis, squash, basketball, soccer, and more
Court booking software usually assumes racquet sports, but most clubs have more than that. In BookThisCourt every court or field gets its own hours and its own rules, so tennis, pickleball, padel, squash, badminton, basketball, and volleyball courts and soccer or football fields all sit in one account, run by the same membership plans and the same member list.
Guests, cancellations, and reminders
The front desk can add a booking for a guest by name straight from the calendar, so a member's visiting friend never needs an account. Members get a confirmation email when they book and a reminder an hour before they play. You decide whether members can cancel their own bookings and, if you charge for court time, how early they have to cancel to get credit back.
Clinics, socials, leagues, and tournaments
Court booking is only part of a club's week. The same account runs weekly clinics and lessons, round robins, league nights, and mixers as events members sign up for online, with member discounts on entry if you want them. Tournaments get their own draws, live scores, and a leaderboard. See the Events guide and the Tournaments guide.
Waivers signed once, online
Attach your liability waiver to a membership plan or to court bookings and every member signs it online before their first session. Returning members are not asked again unless the waiver changes. See the Waivers guide.
What it costs
Most club management software prices by module or by member count. BookThisCourt's Starter plan is free, with up to 500 bookings a month and up to 8 courts. Busier clubs move to the Scale plan for $59 a month with 20 courts, peak and off-peak pricing, and custom booking rules. No card is needed to get started. See pricing.
Setting it up
Setting up takes three screens: make a plan for each type of member under Offers, tick those plans on the hours you want to keep for members under Hours, then add your current members under Customers. The step-by-step guide shows each one.

FAQ
Can we make court booking members-only?
Yes. On the Hours page, tick your membership plans in the Members Only column for every time slot, and nobody outside those plans can book. Leave a slot unticked and it stays open to the public.
Can different types of members get different hours?
Yes. You tick each plan slot by slot, so full members can book any hour while social members get off-peak hours only. Each plan can also include its own number of free court hours a month.
Do members have to pay through the platform?
No. Most private clubs keep collecting dues through their own office and just give each member a plan. Taking payment through BookThisCourt is optional, and you can switch it on for a plan when you want to collect dues or accept new members online.
Can members book further ahead than the public?
Yes. Booking further ahead is one of the perks you can add to a plan, so members can grab courts days before those times open to everyone else.
Does this work for squash, basketball, or other non-racquet courts?
Yes. Every kind of court at the club sits in the same account with its own hours and rules, so a club with tennis courts, squash courts, and a basketball gym runs all of them on the same membership plans.
Can members bring a guest?
Yes. Members book under their own name and bring their guest, or the front desk adds a booking for the guest by name from the calendar without creating an account.
How much does private club court booking software cost?
BookThisCourt's Starter plan is free with up to 500 bookings a month and 8 courts. Busier clubs move to the Scale plan for $59 a month. There is no per-member fee and no card needed to start.
