How many rounds does a round robin need?

With an even number of entrants, N entrants need N minus 1 rounds. With an odd number, each entrant also sits out once, giving N rounds. The generator works this out and packs matches onto your courts automatically.

Can I make a doubles or mixed doubles round robin?

Yes. Doubles pairs your list into fixed teams you can rearrange by drag and drop, and mixed doubles pairs each man with a woman. The schedule then treats each team as one entrant.

Is this schedule generator really free?

Can I run a knockout bracket instead?

How does a tournament bracket generator handle byes?

Brackets need a power of two to fill every slot, so when your entrant count is not 8, 16 or 32 the generator gives the top seeds a bye through the first round. You do not have to work out how many byes you need or who gets them.

Can I seed the players in the bracket?

Yes. Your entrant order is the seeding order, so the top seed and the second seed are placed on opposite halves of the draw and can only meet in the final. Rearrange the list before you generate to change the seeding.

Can I print the schedule or save it as a PDF?

Yes. Use the Print / PDF button on the finished schedule or bracket and choose Save as PDF in your browser print dialog. The tool reflows to a clean sheet with the surrounding page removed, so you can pin it up at the courts.
